You press record and whatever you do on your screen and say into your mic can be easily sent up to Screencast-o-Matic’s website. You can then hand the link to your students, answering a question or explaining a concept. It’s also handy to record when something isn’t working right on your computer. Tech support really appreciates it!

The free version gives you 15 minutes of recording time, which is plenty for teachers making short clips for flipped content.

Initial setup is a little tricky. They make it surprisingly hard to find the download button.

I have yet to find a storage limit. Every day I upload videos to their site and send links to colleagues and students.
